Ski and tourist resort Jasná Low Tatras

The resort Jasná in the Low Tatra Mountains offers the best natural conditions for skiing and snowboarding, and in summer months for hiking are at the end of the village Demänovská Valley.

Winter and skiing in Jasna in the Low Tatras

Jasná is one of the largest resorts in Slovakia. It stretches along the Low Tatra Mountains range, northern and southern slopes of Mt Chopok, and is surrounded by peaks reaching the altitude of 900-2,024 metres.

Northern and southern slopes of Mt. Chopok operate more than 36 km of well maintained, ski piste with the transport capacity more than 24 thousand persons per hour.

Skiing in Jasná

Skiing in Jasná is popular also because of the connection of the resort Chopok North and Chopok South (since 2007). The top quality snowmaking system guarantees skiing 5 months a year, starting beginning of December and finishing the end of April.

Skiing in Jasná resort, the Low Tatra Mountains is popular because of maintained ski slopes with various level of difficulty, good conditions for alpine-skiing, freeride, cross-country skiing. Apart from skiing, you can have a lot of fun doing different activities, like night sleighing, skating or you may want to try less common skifoxing, snowscooting, snowbiking, kitewing or paragliding.

Summer and hiking in Jasna in the Low Tatras

In summer months the resort Jasná in the Low Tatra Mountains attracts tourists by its spectacular nature of Low Tatra Mountains, the possibilities of hiking and adrenaline activities.

Some of the cableways are in operation in summer months. You can take the six seat cable from the resort Záhradky (1,028 metres above the sea level) to Rovná hoľa (1,491 metres above the sea level) and change for Chopok Úboč (1 843 metres above the sea level). Only half an hour walk will take you to the top of Mt. Chopok (2,024 metres).

What attracts visitors to Jasná in summer isa unique Bike Park, fairy tale educational trail of Little Red Riding Hoodand also the museum at the highest location in Slovakia – The Museum of Nature and Cableway Mini Museum.
